The Getty Center Marriage Proposal - Molli + Obed

When Obed reached out to me about having me photograph his marriage proposal to Molli at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, I jumped on the opportunity. Not only are marriage proposals one of my favorite things to capture but The Getty Center is one of my favorite places in LA, it’s a photographer’s dream.

Being that the Getty was their first date location years ago, it was fitting to capture this milestone moment of them getting engaged there.

I arrived a bit earlier than them to scope the place out before their arrival and once they got there, I followed them around the grounds as Obed worked up the courage to drop down on one knee.

As to not get spotted by Molli, I tried to blend in to this tour group behind them. As Molli & Obed walked down this walkway, I noticed Obed looking around and then I realized he was looking for me because he was about to do the damn thing. The only problem was that it wasn’t in the spot we had agreed upon but as the saying goes, “adapt and overcome”! So I did!

I took my camera out as fast as I could and literally ran towards them as to not miss the shot and thankfully I got it!

She said “I DO!” and then we roamed the Getty for a few minutes capturing some more photos of the newly engaged couple at golden hour.
