Walt Disney Concert Hall

If you're going to have a list of the best LA engagement photo locations, the Walt Disney Concert Hall has to be on that list...so here it is! If you haven't seen this building, I invite you get out from under that rock and take a look at this architectural beauty. The concert hall is in the heart of DTLA and is one of the most popular engagement photo spots for a reason. I love shooting there and I think if you choose this location for your photos, you won't be disappointed. 

Malibu Creek State Park

Malibu Creek State Park is a perfect location for those of you looking to get outdoors, go for a hike, and frolick through the tall golden grass. It has gold hills, big oak trees, and if you're up for a little bit of a walk, you can run into the old MASH tv show set. 

Venice Beach Canals

No, not the ones in Italy (although I'd love to shoot there someday), these canals are located in Venice Beach, CA. It's a small waterway section of the city that features beautiful homes, cute little boats, and bridges. One of my favorite locations to shoot for sure!

Santa Monica Pier

I mean, what's more "so Cal" than the Santa Monica pier? You've got the beach, the historic boardwalk, carnival games, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a spot to consider if you want to have a playful session.

Griffith Observatory

The Observatory is another popular spot. Not only is the architecture beautiful, kind of like taking a trip back in time, but the views from up there are amazing as well. As an added bonus, if you want to capture some variety, you can walk behind the Observatory and capture some photos with the LA skyline in the background from the hiking path. I highly recommend getting there earlier than you would imagine being that parking is always fun there.
